Carolyn Gevinski is a reporter and editor based in New York. Her work has been featured in El País, GLAMOUR UK, Al Jazeera English, and Out Magazine. In 2024, she cofounded Grassroots Magazine, New York City's first news outlet dedicated exclusively to coverage of grassroots movements.
She has a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University, where she graduated with honors. She will be continuing her career in October 2025 as a Columbia Journalism Investigations postgraduate fellow partnered with a local newsroom on the climate change beat.

Carolyn was selected by philosopher Marianne Janack to be an Assistant Editor for the philosophical literary journal Book XI. Carolyn was a founding member of the journal and worked on Book XI from 2020-2022.
